Quo Vadis?
Instead of a long blog entry , I am going to sum of the last several weeks in a few lines.
I am mentally and physically exhausted. I’ve been working my butt off at work, my other business is really starting to take off which has also doubled my workload, my wife and I are expecting baby number two (whoo hooo!), our little one is waking up at 5am EVERY morning, I fired my lawn guy because he insulted the way I cut the grass when he wasn’t available(I cut it myself now), some asshole kid keyed dumb profanities on my beautiful Mustang while it was parked down the street, I’ve been training tirelessly for my first triathlon this fall, my dog hurt her leg on a hike and battled serious bladder problems (she couldn’t go up stairs for almost 2 weeks- I slept on the floor with her) and I managed to get pink eye from not washing my hands (and rubbing my eyes) during a late night diaper change.
I’ve haven’t blogged about any of this because I didn’t make it a priority. I let the little obstacles in my life get in the way of my writing. That will change today. To cement my commitment, I will blog every day until the 4th of July. No excuses, no bullshit. I am a man among men. I am an athlete, father, and American soldier.
Grab a paper bag, breathe into it and calm down. You’re hyperventilating because you know that you’ll never read a honest fatherhood blog like this anywhere else. Now please collect yourself, save this page (check it daily), and enjoy the ride.
