Luckiest Guy in the World
With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I cannot help but be grateful and full of thanks for all that I have. Over the next 20 days, I will write about some of these things.
Today, I am thankful for my wife. She’s my best friend and is VERY (40 weeks!) pregnant at the moment. She’s the macaroni to my cheesiness , my best friend, a talented artist, and a loving mother. I could easily devote a blog just to her and our adventures, but for now, this post will have to do! We met in college at Seton Hall (Go Pirates!) , but didn’t date until after graduation. After a year of dating, we were engaged and planned for a huge wedding in NJ. As we planned and thought about it a bit more, we decided that instead of having a reception hall full of family members we didn’t particularly care for and a few that didn’t even want us to get married (she is Indian, I’m not…enough said for now) we decided to get married in Jamaica! Yea mon! It was a private ceremony on the beach with only 12 people in attendance, including us. We partied, we sang, and danced the night away with our own private steel drum band. After seeing off our friends and family, we stayed on the island for an additional 8 days. The uninterrupted time we spent during that time set the tone for our wonderful marriage. We’ve had some crazy ups and downs over the last 5 years, but I can’t imagine getting through it with anyone else. It’s great to have a wife that is so loving and supportive. I am a better man and father because of her.
