This was not in our birth plan.

A few days ago, my wife gave birth to our daughter Sophia at home… and on our couch!  We certainly did not plan for a home birth, but things progressed rather quickly and we were  soon past the point of no return (or more appropriately no leaving). We were not going to make it to the hospital.  With three pushes, our daughter was out  and delivered into the hands of our  incredible doula.

With the help of Hypnobabies (more to come on this soon),my wife experienced minimal discomfort and this photo above was taken at the hospital a mere 30 minutes after giving birth! Both mom and  baby are doing well and are happily resting at home.

Life is good.
